I would ask for the Graves antibodies test to be done , along with FREE T3 and FREE T4 tests.
The normal T4 and T3 are outdated and done give a clear reading of just what is going on with your thyroid.
Excuse my ignorance but I took your posting that you had been on a T4 med....I apologise.
The most importance tests are the Free T's.
When you have had them done, that gives a clearer picture as to whats going on.
I did not have any drugs at all. She did say that could have caused this drastic change but there were NO drugs involved and I had no symptoms at all of hypothyroid. What is the antibody test. Is this the T4 free. That was 1.9
This is a normal thing that can happen especially if you are 'drug sensitive' (react to meds very quick like I do).
As for the Doc not knowing why it happened or any reasons, then I dont think I would want her as a Doctor.
Another reason could be your Doc had you on a dose of T4 med that was too high or another scenario could be that you have BOTH Hashi's and Graves disease antibodies.
Have you had your antibody tests done yet?
If not...then I suggest you do so.
Good Luck :)
