yeah i have hashimoto's thanks for your response
You have not mentioned if the basic cause of your hypothyroidism was ever diagnosed. If it was Hashimoto's, which is the most common cause, then it is possible that your need for thyroid hormone has gradually increased. In either case, with your FT3 level, you could ask the doctor to slightly increase your T3 med and see if that works for you. If the doctor has any concern for any of your test results, or increasing your meds, then just give him a copy of the link I gave you and discuss it with him.
hi 8 months ago i had my last test and my ft3 was low but my Tsh was fine so after reading some comments on here i asked my doctor if i could incude some t3 and he agreed to half of 25mg tablet a one of a day then after about a month i still had sypmtoms so i took half in the morning and half at lunch time and i found this was better i didnt fall asleep at all in the afternoon and i wasnt constipated or having any other sypmptom so i have been takin this dose about 6 months and only the last couple of weeks i feel a little tired in afternnoon but not like before but i have constipation again which has always been one of my biggest problems but also in the last 6 months i have lost 7 kilos as well i have another 7 to lose to be my normal weight this is the first time i have taken meds that make me feel better,do our bodies get used to a certain dose after a time
How long have you been taking the dosage you mentioned? I ask just to confirm that you have been on that dosage long enough to be fully reflected in your blood test results.
I think you will also get some good info from this link. The letter was written by a good thyroid doctor for patients he consults with from a distance. The letter is sent to the Primary Doctor, to help guide the patient's treatment.
