itchy neck after surgery

has anyone had an itchy rash after surgery in the area covered by the surgical soap?  any idea what causes, how to treate and how long it will last?

Not sure .. I'm a past patient so this isn't professional advice ... maybe try something very non-fragrant, etc. like an AquaPhor or something like that type of cream to help the dryness along ... be careful, though, bcz many things sting it!  Benadryl cream used sparingly is an idea to ask your Dr. about ?

I had some itching after the stitches and tape were removed. Havent had any lately. My call the Dr tomr morning!
