Symtoms after thyroidectomy

My grandma (70) had a thyroidectomy last week, she was very ill before the surgery and now also, she have a sort of stomach flu and are very nauseas.  She can hardly eat.  Is this normal?  I would appreciate it if somebody answers me a.s.a.p. Thank you

At her age you should call the surgeon and let them know what's going on.

I had a total thyroidectomy on Feb 19. I had severe nausea and headache after my surgery but it got better after 5 days. I was told by the surgeon to watch for tingling in my lips and legs due to the law calcium after the surgery. Low calcium levels happen a lot after TT but not always. Hope your grandma feels better.
