levothyroxine storage temps

I left my prescription of levothyroxine in the car last night.  Temps dropped to 40F last night.  Will my levo be ok?

In Australia we are told to keep our meds in the fridge! So in the car overnight is not going to hurt. I was in the USA in August last year and all the pharmacists were looking at me oddly for wanting something to keep my meds cool in, but I showed them the leaflet that comes with the medication and they all went Ooooh....that makes sense..we should start telling people to keep it in the fridge too!
Anything lie a freezing point will definitely damage it, so between 2 and 8 celsius ( 36 and 43 F) is actually the ideal for this super sensitive hormone to be stored at.
You will do more damage to your medication (EVERYBODY LISTEN UP!) with constant change of temp..say a heated house to a cold car or a hot day to a cold fridge.  So don't worry you didn't do any harm this once.
Cheers

I have been told to treat your synthroid like chocolate.  Heat will damage it, as in lessening its potency. I don't think the cold is going to have the same effect.
