A starting dose of 150 mcg seems to be a lo, especially if your doctor only thought you might be developing hypothyroidism. That may have contributed to some of your initial feelings. We tend to recommend slow and steady in starting and increasing thyroid meds. If you should continue to have concerns, you can always cut back on the dose and gradually increase maybe every 6 weeks. What were the test results and reference ranges for your thyroid tests?
I have lost about 7 pounds since taking it. My bowels seem to be very active. Today is the first day that I think I can workout as I had energy. So happy about this. I am prayerful this is on the upswing of things.
I started taking 0.150 mg
I started Levo 5 days again... and have not slept a wink since I started.. however the body aches I had before going on it have gone away
I agree that peoples reacatins seem to vary. I didn't have a problem with achy feelings or headaches. In fact, I haven't had a migraine since starting Levo two months ago. Having said that, that isthe only good news for me in regards to this medicine. I started gaining weight within a week of starting on Levo, and it has been a two month battle not to keep gaining...
Reaction to thyroid meds varies a lot with different patients and different meds. What is your starting dose?
