That friend sounds like a real keeper and one to prominently display up on your knick-knack shelf along with your other treasures!
There are a couple of slogans, attributed to Alcoholics Anonymous, that are rather ubiquitous at this point in history but are still goodies. They are: “First things first” and “Easy does it.” Let’s concentrate on getting you through your surgery first thing and then deal with what can be done later - later. Also, let’s concentrate on getting you to take it easy up until that day.
As for thyroid surgery resulting in other physical complications, like infertility, I believe the incidence of such is relatively low.
I think as thyroid patients facing surgery we could get the academy award for ‘Visualization,’ that along with ‘Over Thinking.’ I know I did a slew of it me’self ☺...
Keep in touch.
Hi!
My friend told me also not to have diet and exercise because it will cause some stress..
From what you explained, I should be well nourished before my surgery. After the surgery, Can I start enrolling for gym and consume herbalife shake?
I have dreams about maybe my surgery will not be successful and causes infertility. I plan to have ultrasound after 2 months before I will go back to my doctor but the doctor never told to have this procedure. Did you have any visualization procedures before the surgery? my doctor asked me to have ecg, protime thyroid panel, electrolytes only after 2 months.
Thank you very much for the advices.
God Bless!
Welcome. Sorry you have to face this kind of surgery.
While it's admirable that you're motivated to want to take care of yourself with calorie reduction and exercise, I think I'd hold off on any of that right now. Before my own surgery I was advised to take it easy on everything, including the things I do to take care of myself - like exercise.
It will all be there to partake in after surgery...but for now rest.
Good luck.
