Question for Dr

I have been searching for answers for my neurological symptons now for over 12 months.
A year ago had face pain, dizziness, numbness, burning, cold spots, tingling, twitching.
3 mri's all clear.
Neg L.P.
I have had high thyroid antibodies since 2004
2004 diagnosed with a multi nodular goitre
Neurologist diagnosed me with hashimotos enc..........(some long name) which is steroid responsive
Have had steroids in tablet form and in hospital via the drip, did not take away symptons
What do you call it when you have high thyroid antibodies? Is it hashimotos?????
My tsh levels are within the normal limits.
Can having high levels of thyroid antibodies but normal thyroid cause neurological symptons?
I would appreciate any information.  Thanks

I have heard that TPO can be high in M.S. and other autoimmune diseases. M.S. can cause facial pain and numbness and tingling.

So my thyoid can be normal and I have high thryoid antibodies and thats called just hashimotos?
My endo has never heard of symptons with thyroid and my neuro told me I can't be on thyroid meds as my thryoid is fine.
Having thyroid antibodies can they cause neurological symptons, I know hashimotos thyroiditus does, but with that the thyroid is underactive, and mine is fine.
So very confusing.

What I am finding out on here and other research is that's exactly what Hashimoto's is. Your TSH and T3 T4 will be normal but your antibodies will be very high. Seems your body attacks the gland for years and slowly makes you go hypothyroid. It's usually years before these standard test will reflect a problem.  Since your antibody test is high, your doctor should be willing to put you on something, if he is not, you can find a doctor who is open minded to a trial run to see which meds make you feel human again.

I've been on steriods for my back and shoulder a time or two in my life and it eases some of the muscular pains, but everything else remains the same with me. Towards the end of the treatment, my fog head starts to go away and stays away for about a week after steriods stop then comes back. I haven't a clue why but I certainly can't be on steriods long term to find out if it eventually "cures" this or not.
