normal tsh normal total t4 low free t4 pregnancy

i am 21 weeks pregnant .......had graves disease ...but antibodies were negative before conception......now at 21 weeks i have a normal tsh , slightly low free t4 and total t4 in the normal non pregnant range( range 74-144),mine is 103....is this of concern? should i start thyroxine?

Thanks for your reply.....spoke to my endocrinologist ......she advised to start thyroxine at 25 mcg per day and repeat the test after 15 days....shall keep you posted.......

Hi,

I think during pregnancy most doctors like to be conservative.

You need to ask your doctor.  A low dose of thyroid meds would not harm.  103 is mid range for T4, so they may not be concerned.

Let us know what happens.
