temperature 95.9

I have started taking temperature in the morning for 5days...and on 2days upon awakening in the morning it showed 95.9 and and 95.8, I am on synthyroid 112mcg, having lots of symptoms like tired, breast discharge, menstrual problems, hair fall, dry skin and weight gain despite working out and eating sensibly!
I asked my doc for T3 and he got upset and saif forget about it, rcently I have contacted a naturopath for getting some symptoms relief.....not sure what natuopaths give like any medicine or what?

I asked my doc for FT3 and FT4, prolactin and TSH as well. he also ordered cortisol since I have been feeling my face is looking puffy too. I dont know what to do can I stop taking medicine and wait for getting an appointmnet from naturopath(since she's away for a while and she'll give me a call back whenever she comesback)....I dont like to take any more synthyroid I am so tired of taking it and having so many problems.

my doc said you could have cushing disease, what is the relationship b/w hypothyroidism and cushings?

Since many natuopaths in the US are also osteopathic doctors (DO's) they can prescribe meds. Is she also a DO? I know about the medical laws in Ontario though.

When was the last time you had your thyroid lab testing done? If you have the results, you can post them here for some insight with the ranges the lab uses for TSH, free t3 and free t4. If you don't have copies, its your right to ask for them - good thing for you to keep for reference.

Not much mentioned here on any relationship of hypothyroidism and cushings? Some people with hypothyroidism also have low cortisol, so it is possible if these people take to much cortisol to develop cushings disease, but I have not read about it here.

Other than that, the only thing in common is their tie to the pituitary gland. You mentioned testing prolactin, so I'm guessing you were thinking about the pituitary as well.

If you just stop the perscribed synthroid without any taking any other thyroid meds, you will feel worse.

I don't think that herbs can help much, what you do need to do is to adjust your dose ,
untill you are on the proper dose you will remain hypo.

don't stop the meds ,have you checked for anti TGab and anti TPOab before ?

feel well ,
