Crazy.? Thyroid levels changing is not necessarily crazy.
Thyroid levels need to be checked more often than 6 months. 3 X per year is better.
If the Dr is changing doses then 6 months is to far away.
Your right i feel the same as i did from last meds i was taking.Went to the dr thursday my levels are very good i go back in 6 months.im sure it will change its crazy
TSH is the thyroid stimulating hormone. But its not a hormone your cells use. Its the signal from your pituitary telling how much thyroid hormone the thyroid gland should produce, even if you no longer have a thyroid gland, the pituitary will continue to produce this signal. Makes as much sense as the government sending tax statements to dead people LOL....
In your case without a thyroid gland, the body looks at how much synthetic thyroid hormone (synthroid) is in your blood. Problem is it doesn't tell the whole story of the optimal level of thyroid hormone in your blood. Your TSH went up a little tiny bit from less medication, most likely you didn't even feel different.
Anyone without a thyroid gland should be getting the actual thyroid hormone that your cells consume tested. Blood tests for T3 and T4 hormones are called Free T3 and Free T4. The "free" part is referring to what amount is free (available) in your blood, ready for cells to use.
