thyroid results

Hello....I have been taking synthyroid 112mg for approx five years.  I had RAI back in 1982 for hyperthyroidism and now have hypo.  I have my thyroid blood testing every year.  For a few months now I have had palpitations, sob, and some weight loss.  My primary says my test results are right where they should be and does not want to change the milligrams of my meds.  I have a copy of the test results and just want an opinion to the results.  Thanks!

Hi!  My doc changed my synthroid to 100mcd from 112mcg approx 3 weeks ago.  For the past two weeks I have been having tingling in my legs and for the past week my face and legs and feet feel incredibly tight, like I have a sunburn.  This is so annoying.  Do you think this decrease in my synthroid could be causing this feeling?

Maybe try 100mcg to see if that relieves the symptoms. Are they sure the entire thyroid tissue was destroyed?  Your doctor should try & work with you.

I don't think trying the dosage change would hurt anything, but you must get your doctors approval for this.
