thyroid treatment...

I have posted before about looking for a diagnosis.  I went to my Dr and talked about my low Free T4 which was 10 (9-22) and how I felt that it might be too low for me, she pointed out the tsh which was 2.65(.3-5.5) and I mentioned that some thyroid issues cannot be diagnosed just with tsh. I asked if she would think about trying a trial of medicine to help with my symptoms and she said yes!!!  She can not test my Free t3 because of provincial medical plan guidelines but she felt that she should treat with a natural dessicated supplement as it provides both t4 and t3.  She prescribed 30 mg of Armour (not 100% sure that is what I received as the bottle just says thyroid porcine) once a day.  Is there anything I should know about taking this? It is in a gelatin capsule and it came from a compounding pharmacy. It did not come with any write up on how and when to take it.  It is not something I could easily separate as it is in a capsule. I am taking it for a month so I can see if any of my symptoms resolve.  On this dosage will I notice a decrease in my symptoms? I am really hoping it will help so I know I am on the right track.  any advice would be appreciated.  thanks in advance.
