well thankyou for your reply.....n yeah my doctor asked me to get T3 and T4 testing done too with TSH ....now my doctor has prescribed 50 power thyrox tablets.....n when i got my 3rd testing done the TSH level was 8.1 ..il get another testing done to see if my levels are stable and within limits!
TSH is a pituitary hormone, and testing TSH alone is not adequate for maintaining proper thyroid hormone levels. Your doctor should also be testing free T3 (FT3) and free T4 (FT4) whenever your TSH is tested. If you track your levels, you will see at which levels you feel best and can adjust meds to stay within your comfort range. Have your hypo symptoms been relieved?
Yes mine has went down in less time than that. However I have a blood test every 14 days to test calcium ans D levels. The TSH has to be 4-6 weeks apart, also insurance will not pay for TSH done less than a month apart. You have to take medication to maintain low levels.
