Sorry to be so insistent, but just because labs are "in range", doesn't mean they're right for you. Without the reference ranges and being able to see where your levels fall within them, it's impossible for us to know for sure.
If you are going hypo, as I suspect, increasing anti-thyroid med will only make you more so. Hair loss is usually a symptom of hypo.
You should probably talk to your doctor.
my results were all in range (I don't have the report in front of me) and I have Graves. I can't get another blood test as I am traveling right now but was wondering if I should increase meds and see if that stops /or slows the hair loss (my biggest concern.) Thank you for your time
What are the reference ranges for the Free T4 and the T3? Reference ranges vary lab to lab, so must come from your own report. Also, is the T3 test for FREE T3 or is it TOTAL T3? Total T3 is considered obsolete and of little value; you need to be tested for Free T3 and Free T4.
Please post labs with reference ranges, as it appears that you might be going hypo.
Do you have Graves Disease? or Hashimoto's Thyroiditis? Or do you know? Both are autoimmune diseases that attack and destroy the thyroid. Hashimoto's is most often associated with hypothyroidism, but in early stages, often presents with periods of hyperthyroidism alternating with periods of hypothyroidism. Graves is associated with hyperthyroidism and often requires thyroid removal or RAI.
Antibody tests should be done to determine an autoimmune disease.
