TSI...thyroid stimulation imunoglobins.
Thats the test to detect Graves Disease.
No Doctor can diagnose 100% Graves without that test.
If you have been on ATD's (antithyroid meds ) for 2 years and the antibodies are still rampant then I would be looking for a permanant solution.
The ATDS can damage your Liver and produce too much enzymes.
Ask for a LFT (liver function test) next time you get labs and also a white cell count.
These are the 2 that are affected by anti-thyroid meds.
The liver overproduces enzymes and the white cell count goes high...putting your immune system at an all time low.
These are things you should discuss with your Doctor.
The Liver Enzymes have to be in the 1000's to do long term harm but basically that is a reason why not many Doctors will keep a Graves patient on ATDS for long.
Just make sure you have Graves first .
Did the family doc diagnose you with Graves by an actual TSI test or was the doc going by TSH? TSH can fluctuate with Hashi and we swing from hypo to hyper. I thought I had Graves last year when I had a long hyper spell.
Like Barb said, you definitely have Hashi antibodies. I have heard of a few people with Graves and Hashi. As if your life couldn't get any worse?
Below is the website where I found my endo. Make sure the doc tests and treats both FreeT4 and FReeT3 levels.

I dont believe Ive had that test done. I just went in monday for a TSH receptor antibody test but wont have the results for a few more days.
Symptoms: Hot flashes, frequent bouts of being so tired, really thirsty after bedtime, wake frequently during the night, unable to lose weight, racey feeling at times, unable to tolerate heat.
Right now my nutritionist told me to start taking 5000iu of vitamin D
I'm not real familiar with Graves, but I think the best test to dx that is the TSI; do you know if you had that one?
What symptoms do you have other than the weight issue?
Your TSH and FT4 look good; however, you certainly have the antibodies indicating Hashi's. There are some on this forum who have both Graves and Hashi.
Have you been given a script to get your vitamin D levels up?
I'm sure someone else will chime in here with more info.
I forgot to add that my family dr dx me with Graves disease about 2 1/2 years ago and has me on PTU and propranolol. I now am dealing with a nutritionist to try and help me lose weight, part of her treatment was to get new labs done. She is still waiting on the Results of my TSH receptor antibody test. She thinks that I may have both graves and Hashimotos but isnt sure yet.
