has anyone mentioned that you might have bursidous? We are at that age. A friend of mine started swimming laps to keep it loose. As I understand, its something you don't want to have "lock up" on you and you can only get better with physical therapy--which you can do on your own. Grab some light dumbell weights (1-3 lbs) and keep that arm moving. Take Ibuprofen for pain.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Such a sharp localized pain can be due to an abscess, deep vein thrombus occluding blood supply, pinched nerve or muscle injury.
I am sorry but this is not something that can be diagnosed on net.
The best thing would be to consult a doctor-maybe go to a walk in clinic and try and assess what is the cause of your problem. Take care!
