thankyou so much... its now turned into heartburn.. and eccessive salvation... i had my normal oatmeal this am.. was fine.. then about 4 hours later... started feeling sick... waves of heartburn.. sudden increase in salivation.. then.. when i tried eating.. the food actually hurt at first going down.  I had an EKG a few months ago.. all was well.. within normal limits... i do have a hiatal hernia,.. and i think its gotten worse. its AMAZING how very scary a hiatal hernia is.. all the ways it canmake you feel.  i am going to make an appointment to see my pc doc.. and go from there... i cant stand this anymore... just amazes me how something so small one day can turn into a frustrating problem the next... take care.. and if you have any other hints orsuggestions.. please send them my way!

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
You need to get a blood sugar test done to know the cause. Also the test has to be done fasting and 2 hours after all meals.
The other possibility is that you have developed intolerance to carbohydrates or gluten or lactose. Hence you would need to get the food intolerance tests done. Keep a food stress diary. See what causes problems and what does not. Like oatmeal does not.
Hope this helps. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
