Bitter taste on my lips

I don't know why...

I don't wear makeup so it's not from that.

I'm not on any meds and don't take any OTC stuff.

My diet hasn't changed.

But I have this horrible bitter taste on my lips that just won't go away. Like when you use nail polish remover and then stick your finger in your mouth by accident... only I don't wear nail polish and haven't used any polish remover. No household cleaners either...

It's just a really horrible bitter taste on my lips.

Any clues???

I'm reading these old posts and am so relieved!  I bought a can of the 3m air spray about a month ago and this started after that, although I wouldn't have known the cause if I hadn't seen these posts.  It is a nasty taste, but harmless (to my knowledge) and I'm glad to know others have this so I'm not worried about it anymore.
The reason your post caught my attention is because I, too, have to take a thyroid supplement.  I had Graves Disease and had radiation to remove my thyroid, so will supplement for the rest of my life.  I'm not sure if maybe that drug interaction is possibly causing the taste?  At any rate, it doesn't hurt us, just annoying.  I actually moved my can of 3M last night, and the taste came back today briefly!

I am just reading this article from 2 years ago and totally agree with innanni. I just used a "canned air" product to clean my keyboard yesterday and noticed that my fingertips were bitter (nothing else was bitter except the finger tips). Washed my hands several times and it kept coming back. Would disappear at home (obviously since I was not using the keyboard at work) and reappeared today. I just clorox'ed the keyboard and problem solved! DEFINITELY THE CANNED AIR! the label says it contains a bittener as well. Thanks!
