Blood in Saliva or Blood disorders

Dear all,

I am concerned about blood in my saliva —nearly one year and recently more evident.  I have seen my dentist several times without any solution.

Now all the time I feel my saliva comes out in my mouth with the taste of blood. If I suck a little, I can immediately see the blood. My mouth is very dry. The saliva is either very white or red.

Could you tell me what kind of doctor I should see now?

Kind regards,

Pengyou

If there is troubling blood in the saliva then salt water gargles would give you a lot relief from preventing further infection of the throat.Take vitamin C tablets that would stop the bleeding.

Thank you.

In the past, I did a lot of exams and I am now sure that the problem is not from lung or gastro etc ...
The only found problem is deviated septum and that produces a lot of mucus in my throat.

However, for the moment, I am terrified by the blood coming out with saliva.

Blood in the saliva can be of many reasons related to some upper respiratory infections and also due to some erosion of tissue in gastro intestinal tract. There must some other associated symptoms like difficulty in swallowing ans painful swallowing-sore throat or pharyngitis..There may be associated ad breath due to more bleeding. There may be coughing of blood some times and its better you get your blood checked for any infection.Have a chest X-ray done with a full detailed general examination with a general physician. He ll rule out all the differentials and suggest you a good treatment. You may Cotrimoxazole meanwhile.
