Body Temperature fluctuations after having flu like symptoms

My husband and I both came down with flu like symptoms, body aches, chills and a fever of 100.5 that lasted for a couple of days. Fever has gone down, but now I'm having a runny nose and he has a cough. I keep sweating with what feels like a fever,  but I'm cold to the touch and  my temperature is 96.5, which is not normal for me. My normal temperature is 98.6. What does this mean? Does this mean we both still have the flu or whatever size this may be?
