Since the last two years I have had a persistent pressure/tightness-like sensation in in my forehead (near eyebrow), cheek, the bridge of the nose and the back of the the head at the top. All of this is on the left side and it rately radiates to the other side. Occasionally the pressure/tightness is accompanied by a dull, pulsating ache in the aforementioned areas. Pressing the point where the bridge of the nose and forehead meet gives some relief. Lying down on my back with the back of my head firmly pressed against a pillow also gives relief, but once I rise the pressure/tightness is back again after some time. I have been on decongestants, analgesics, gabapentin, livocetrizine and fluticasone furoate nasal spray in the course of these two years, but none of them has proved effective.
On the recommendation of an ENT specialist I recently got a PNS CT-scan done. It shows mildly deviated nasal septum towards the left and two small polyps arising from the floor of the left maxillary sinus. I was almost convinced that this is the diagnosis and that I would be treated accordingly so that I can get rid of this ordeal that I have been going through for such a long time as soon as possible. However, the doctor said these conditions are not causing the condition I described above, shattering all my hopes.
So now I'm totally clueless as to what could be causing this. Does anyone else had or has the same condition? If yes, did you receive any diagnosis?
