Does he have any silver (mercury) fillings in his teeth?  I was feeling dizzy as well, and that is what was wrong with me.  The toxins from my own teeth were being inhaled.  I was diagnosed with mercury poisoning.  Good luck...

I have suffered from dizzy spells for years had all the tests head scans the lot all negative ! but my doctor has told me that acid in the stomache can sometimes cause you to have a dizzy head and also does your partner feel like a popping sensation at the top of his nose like his airways are opening up if so this can be also put down to sinus problems  . Hope this helps.. Clive

Hi
Thanks for keeping me posted!
Have you looked at the other causes of dizziness like cervical spondylitis, anemia, GERD, hypoglycemia or low sugar and some endocrine problems. In case any of these are the culprit, then dizziness will not subside until the cause is rectified. I am not sure why prednisone was started. This drug also causes dizziness in some as a side effect. I think you should consult an internal medicine specialist for this.
Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Hello all!! we went to see the doctor who did his surgery and his ears are fine no infection or anything. The doctor put him on a pill for dizziness and prednisone. The pill for dizziness has not helped at all. I dont know how long it takes for prednisone to work maybe it will help...He has been dizzy sense wed. at 4pm...Im kind of worried this really is not normal. The dizziness started before the fall he fell because of the dizziness. His blood pressure and everything is normal..The doctor said if this prednisone does not work we need to call him..I wish I could find some kind of answers.. How long should we wait for the prednisone to work(so i know how long to wait before calling doctor if its not working) Please help. All answers apreciated!! Thanks Keisha

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Since this happened due to a fall, maybe there was a displacement of the cochlear implant. It could also be due to a contusion in the brain or a concussion or in severe case a brain injury. Did he fall due to dizziness or did the dizziness start after the fall?

If he fell due to dizziness then this could be due to postural hypotension (blood pressure falling with change of position), internal ear problems and cervical spondylitis. All these cause dizziness when you get up from lying down position. Cervical spondylitis and ear problems also cause dizziness on changing the position of the neck.

Other causes are anemia, GERD, hypoglycemia or low sugar and some endocrine problems.

Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage without examining you. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
