Hey guys. I went to the doctors, he did no tests, but gave me Betahistine Dihydrochloride tablets. He said it was 'probably' a viral infection.
Just wondering, how long will this take to kick in, and could it make it worse?
Thank you both so much for replying to me. I have the swaying feeling right now, it's very strange. I try to tell myself I am just imagining it by looking at the sky and telling myself everything is still, but this swaying feeling is still present. It's not like the dizzyness I usually experience (a buzzing sensation in my head teamed with seeing everything spin very fast for a few minuites untill it goes away). I will definately book an appt with the doctor about this. I'm sitting important exams atm and its very distracting, is there any possibly way I can make this dizzyness subside for the time being, or even make it less noticable?
Hello,
I know exactly what you are experiencing as that is what happened to me. My problem was with my ears. I still have my problem and I know it is very frightening but you should go back and insist that more tests be done and ask to see an ENT specialist. It could be Uncompensated Labrynthitis. I am no expert though but can only comment on what my symptoms where like and yours sound exectly like mine. You are not alone with your symptoms but what i would say is the panic attacks come along with the dizzyness because your so frightened so please try and stay calm. Get well soon
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since you have it since childhood, the cause could be in the ear as it first appeared in a moving vehicle. The other possibility is fear for crowd or even claustrophobia. Hence try and look back and see when these episodes come. If they come long after eating, it could also be hypoglycemia. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
