Cyst or what?

A few months ago I begin to have some pain on my ride side of my middle back towards the outside area. I guess it right above the kidney. Within a day of the pain I noticed a spot on my back that was very small. Not a pimple, no head on it nothing. Within a few days it grew into a quarter size, thick and went from red to bruised looking. My regular dr sent me to a surgeon. He said it could be a sebasous cyst (spelling wrong probobly) I seen the dr who said it seemed to be some sort of cyst. He gave me a antiobotic to take away the inflamation and swelling. Then scheduled me to come back and have it removed and or drained and sent off. I took the medicine and it slowly went down and went away. However, that was three months ago. Now it has reappeared and it is causeing alot of sharp pain, nauseation, loss of appetite and have lost about 6 pounds in a week. Any ideal what this is?

The antibiotic only treated the infection. It did not cause the cyst to go away. It will continue to cause problems until dealt with.

I know you had the thought of surgery, but given your symptoms, please do go to the doctor and get proper treatment, including if you need antibiotic again and also including if part of it is the surgery and ask to make sure they test to see what it is at the lab.  Please take care of yourself!
