Elevated Liver Enzymes

my 15 year old son started off with a very much swollen left arm. No bites or injuries. I bought him to the er and first thing they said was "swollen lymph nodes under armpit". very tender too touch. did excessice blood work, liver enzymes were 424, next a.m. were 288. they did ct, ultrasound, hepitist test, you name it, everything is showing normal. Any ideas what this cold be?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since your son had swollen lymph nodes in the armpit and a swollen arm, ascending lymphangitis or inflammation of the lymph vessel has to be ruled out. Initial infection can cause elevated enzyme levels especially the transaminases. Pleasediscuss this possibility with your doctor.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
