Gland Pain Moved to Shoulder Pain

Yesterday night I moved my head the the left so it was close to my should. All of a sudden I got somewhat severe pain by my right gland and either today or yesterday it moved into my right shoulder, now  my gland feels swollen, also the fact that my gland feels swollen it has been making me feel like I may need to vomit, and that it may be suffocating me or stopping some of the air flow.   My right arm hurts when extended to the right. It also hurts to be rotated in either direction.

Hey, I did go to a walk in clinic today.
He say's I have a muscle sprain, not to sure about that one. On the subject of medication, I took 3 Advils yesterday but it still persisted and today I took 1 T-3 and 2 Advils.

He prescribed a anti-inflammatory of 10 days, we'll see what happens from this point up. Hope fully it works. Thank you so much for the feed back. =)

I'll make sure you let you know if anything changes.

Hello,

Without examination, confirming a diagnosis is tough but it looks like a spasm of sternocleidomastoid muscle which can be as a result of strain of the muscle. This muscle helps in inspiration and so if there is any spasm of this muscle ,then it can cause pain during inspiration also.

Apply warm compresses on the area and take some over the counter anti-inflammatory pain killer like ibuprofen or diclofenac.Application of topical muscle relaxants will also help.

If the symptoms persist then pls consult a orthopedician.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing and if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
