Tics

I've been suffering annoying twitches in my left eyelid, also on my lower right cheek and at the side of my nose. It really drives me crazy at times as I'm an over-sensitive and neurotic person. I'm worrying that these tics will never go away and I'll end up having a breakdown!!  What can I do? Help!

This is a shot in the dark, but sometimes, these twitches can be eliminated by B-12 with folic acid sublinguily.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

Eye twitching is also called myokymia. The causes of eye twitching are stress, fatigue, lack of sleep, after reading or working on a computer for prolonged periods of time, high caffeine intake, blepahrospasm(twitching in both eyes) and hemifacial spasm(violent twitching is there). To control eye twitching, apply warm compresses on the eye, gently massage the eyelid with your fingers and put some topical antihistaminic eye drops. Also sleep soundly and do not work on the computer or watch TV continuously for a prolonged time.In cases of blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm, specific treatment is required.

I would advise an ophthalmologist’s evaluation and getting an evaluation done.
Hope it helps. If you have any additional queries, then pls post us.
