Husband has pain on right side abdomen

My hubby has been experiencing a sharp pain to the touch and also when he walks and moves around just above the belly button but more to the right of his abdomen = it has been continually paining for 3 days - he never complains of pain - he has already had his appendix our 20 years ago - he is 49 years old and healthy not over weight either - says it feels like someone punched him really hard.  Can give some suggestions as to what to do before having to make a Dr's appointment as we are not on medical aid.  Thanks

This discussion is related to tenderness and sharp pains upper left of belly button :(.

He may have something wrong with his GI track so your general doctor may have him go see a specialist where he will have some lab testing done. I went through the same kind of pain on the right side of my lower abdomen. The doctor sent me to a gastrologist turned out I had Chrons so just be wary. Try having him hold a heat pad against his stomach to relieve pain, helps me when I have flare ups. Good luck and hope he gets better!!!
