Relaxing and distressing will also help to lessen headaches and migraines.
tina, if the price of one doctor visit will make you homeless, you must be under an extreme amount of financial stress. Reading through your post it sounds like stress causing your hair to fall out. Significant hair loss (and graying) usually happens about 3 months after a stressful event - so if you count back 3 months from now, did you have an extremely stressful time?
Stress also causes premature graying of hair. Look at presidents before they took office and after, that's what stress will do to your appearance and hair.
It sounds like you need to find some way to destress - through relaxation therapy, exercise, changes in lifestyle that remove the stressers, etc.
It would be a good idea to get a blood test to check your thyroid to make sure that you do not have an overactive thyroid causing hyperthyroidism and also get your hormone levels checked.
I am a bit concerned though that you have taken more that the prescribed dose for your migraines. Taking more medication than is advised on the packet can damage your liver. Asprin and Ibuprofen medications can cause bleeding in the stomach.
For your migraines, I would suggest that you keep a diary of everything that you eat and drink. Migraines can be triggered off my certain foods. The foods that can trigger off migraines are: chocolate, cheese, red wine, oranges, coffee. It does not mean that these foods are your triggers for your migraines, you may have different trigger foods. Everyone is different.
My friend last week found out that olives gave her a migraine attack.
Not getting enough sleep and glaring at the computer screen for too long as well as stress can also cause migraine headaches.
By keeping a food diary and keeping a record of how you feel will help you to identify your problem foods.
Also make sure that you drink plenty of water, 2-3 litres per day is usually recommended, more if you sweat a lot or work out. Don't overdo it on the water because too much can be just an unhealthy as not having enough. Lack of water or fluids will lead to dehydration and that can cause headaches.
If you have very dark hair, then when you get a white hair, this is very noticeable. Whereas people with lighter coloured hair will not notice so easily the white hair.
Best wishes.
You should get your thyroid checked, it really sounds like a thyroid problem. I hope this helps and if it doesn't let me know.
