Heat rash bumps/ scars?

I am a Caucasian woman living in the Caribbean.  I get a rash often between my thighs that I believe is heat rash.  The pain from the rash comes and goes but my skin has gotten thicker and darkened in that area now. I also have developed small, painless bumps in the area.  There are at least 50 on each leg; they are flesh colored to light brown and raised.  They are pimple like but when squeezed, nothing comes out (they do bleed a little when squeezed.) I have had these bumps for several months.  The bumps do not bother me physically but do make me very self conscious.  Any idea what this could be and any home remedies?

MY HUSBAND THOUGHT HE HAD "HEAT RASH" BUT IT WAS ACTUALLY A FUNGAL INFECTION AND THE DR. PUT HIM ON ANTIBIOTICS AND A TOPICAL CREAM AND THE ROUGH DRY SKIN THAT WAS DISCOLORED AND THE BUMPS ON HIS INNER THIGHS/BUTTOCKS WENT AWAY-ASK UR MD ABOUT FUNGAL INFECT POSSIBILITY-SOUNDS LIKE IT 2 ME BUT I'M NO MD=)

DO NOT pick the bumps.  You may be spreading the rash.  Go to a doctor and have one of the bumps scraped and tested.  It could be herpes that has shown up in that area.  It could also be chiggers which is a bug that gets under your skin and produces bumps in that area.  But whatever you do don't pop them.

If your legs rub together at all, or even the material in your pants or shorts rubbing on the inside of your thighs will cause this, especially in the tropics.  Try using baby powder on the inside of your thighs, even cornstarch.  Just pick the bumps, they will go away
