Hello

I went to an internist.

She told me that my heart is perfectly  normal.

Its just that my muscles hardened and pinched some of my nerves

So I guess your opinion really hit the mark.

Does it also cause flopping of the chest.

A while ago, it was like my chest moved..I mean my heart or something inside repositioned itself.

So I though it was also a symptom of angina.

DO u think so?

CAn angina be detected by ECG?

Hello,

Thoracic outlet syndrome can cause tachycardia by increasing cardiac sympathetic activity. But firstly, diagnosis of thoracic outlet syndrome has to be confirmed.I would suggest and evaluation by a neurologist for that.If it is confirmed, then specific treatment can be started.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing and if you have any additional queries.

hi

I read about it and I think it could be.

I also want to add that I feel so weak at times.

At those times, its either i am having a oulse rate of 60 to 67 or tachycardia ( 100-105 )

Does TOS affect the pulse rate?

Thank you for your opinion.

I just wanna ask, is it so serious?

I mean is it a fatal disorder?

Hello,

As ECG and X-ray have come out all clear,so cardiac and pulmonary pathologies are ruled out.I feel that it is important to rule out thoracic outlet syndrome as it can cause all the symptoms that you are having. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome symptoms are generally caused by compression of the soft tissues at the side of the neck or upper back.Nerve bundle called the brachial plexus passes through this area and their compression or entrapment in a certain posture of the body causes pain and numbness.

Thoracic outlet syndrome can occur as a result of spinal stenosis, spinal herniation or prolapse of the disc at the level of C7 or thoracic levels of spinal cord.

I sincerely advise you to get CT/MRI neck and upper spine done and consult a neurologist and discuss this problem with him. If you have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome it is essential that you correct any posture imbalances that you may have, whether in a sitting posture or in a standing posture. It is also very important to make sure that the pillow you use under your head is the correct size and thickness for your body.Avoid stretching of shoulders and apply warm compresses on the part.More severe cases may need steroid injections.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
