It could easily be caused by a dental problem.  Sometimes it's an abscess pressing on the trigeminal nerve, for instance.

Has your doctor talked about hormones? I don't know your age. There are several things that can cause a headache, but one lasting so long is abnormal. I would get a second opinion and possibly see a neurologist.

Have you had a cat scan done? It could be due to a lot of pressure in your brain, which is something that should seriously be looked at. It doesn't sound like it is getting any better at all, which in this case you should demand other tests to be done.

I would get a second opinion from another GP. These constant headaches and developing migraines are not good for your health and you should not be suffering like this! All the best!
