Hemerroid or ?

I have these two mysterious red bumps inside my anus. There is no possibility of STDs (i know everyone says that, but really.) I have just noticed these this week, but my anus has been itchy for a few months. It's worse at night. I do not partake in any sort of anal sex, and have been exclusive to the same man for 3 years. I see him EVERY second of EVERY day practically so there is no reason to suspect cheating here.

I also get tested for STDs every year to be safe, and am negative on all accounts. I just had my annual on Wednesday and everything is normal.

I did however, abuse laxatives on and off for about 2 years when i was younger, I have IBS and am lactose intolerant, so I figure this COULD be a hemorrhoid, I'd like to avoid seeing the doctor if possible, as I already have to get surgery on my breasts for a suspect lump shortly, and I have no mentioned my laxative usage to her.

Any ideas?

diarrhea is a common cause of hemmorhoids. they can be internal or external. you need to avoid straining. they can itch and even be painful b/c the blood that is causing them to engorge is stretching the skin. get an over the counter hemmorhoid ointment...they come with tips that attach and allow u to insert them into the anus without irritation. try this for a wk and if it persists u need to see the dr. also warm sitz baths are affective

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Yes, this could either just be anal tags or hemorrhoids. There are hemorrhoidal creams available in the market which you can apply. Sit in a tub of warm water for 10 mins at least twice a day. Increase fiber in your diet. Eat lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, oats, porridge etc. Good sources of fiber are fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. In addition you can try bulk stool softener such as psyllium (Metamucil) or methylcellulose (Citrucel). Remember too much of fiber and not proportionate increase in fluid can also cause constipation. Consult your doctor regarding this. Most doctors can diagnose hemorrhoids by clinical examination of the anal opening or by proctoscopy (inserting a proctoscope, an instrument to visualize the anal mucosa better).
Hope these tips help. If symptoms persist consult a doctor. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
