Hi, BhumikaMD, can you give a short reply?

I posted a question a few days ago, and you have given a reply. The situation is, I recently developed psoriasis, and became very worried that it maybe an ARS symptom (acute retroviral syndrome, HIV), although I have already tested negative at three months.

My question is, can ARS rash be psoriasis-like?

You previously replied that ARS rash can be of many types, please clarify if you are implying that ARS rash can be psoriasis-like? if so, please quote some references, OR, are you just saying it from a general sense that ARS rash have many types, and you are not sure if ARS rash can be psoriasis-like?

Ever since you said that, I searched more on websites, and found that Dr. HHH in HIV forum and Dr. Bob on thebody forum both indicated that psoriasis-like rash is not suggestive of ARS rash.

Anyway, please, please give a short reply. If you think I'm over anxious, and do not want to bother to reply, please also indicate so, so that I don't need to endlessly wait for your reply.

Many thanks!!

Hello,

I am glad that you replied back and told us what was worrying you.

When I said it would benefit you, it was exactly like the second intention as you mentioned in your post above.

Therefore, the aim is to relax you and help you understand the progression of a disease.

Hope this one helped.

Best regards

I still keep thinking about your sentence, "I also believe that there you may benefit from understanding the progress of HIV and ARS", are you suggesting that I may be at risk for HIV and need to know more about it to better prepare myself for HIV? but I have already test negative at 3 months...
or,
are you simply suggesting that by understanding more about progress of HIV and ARS, I can be more certain that the symptom is not related to ARS, and hence I can be more relaxed, and that is the "benefit" you were referring to?

I'm so worried over your comment, please clarify, thanks!

Hi, BhumikaMD, thanks for your reply and clarification.

For your last sentence, "I also believe that there you may benefit from understanding the progress of HIV and ARS", are you suggesting that I may be at risk for HIV and need to know more about it? but I have already test negative at 3 months...

I know I'm getting unreasonably anxious, but I still need your further clarification, thanks for your time!

Hi,

Your question is: can ARS rash be psoriasis-like?

I have posted this before and perhaps the answer was not so clear for you, but there is no crystal clear evidence or reference as per my knowledge that Psoriatic rashes may have occured in ARS type rash.

You are also right in thinking that I think you are perhaps anxious a little more than beneficial. I also believe that there you may benefit from understanding the progress of HIV and ARS

Please let me know if you may need any more information/help
