can't get 7yr old healthy again

on Dec. 30,2010 I took my 7yr old son to our family doctor. He was congested and having pain in the front of his head. My doctor thought it was a sinus infection and put him on cefdinir he was having terrible stomach pains so the doctor switched him to azithromycin for the remainder of his perscription. He now complaines of headaches, stomachaches, back pain thoughout the day on and off. Went back to doctor he thinks it's not sinus because of the two antibiotics. He asked me to give him Zyrtec (allergy med.) for two weeks to see if he has allergies. Coby has never been a sick child besides common colds and coughs, etc once in a while. In Oct. 2010 he was hosptialized with pneumonia for 3nights. I am concerned that maybe something is going on from the different medication from them and now, harming his organs? no good bacteria let? These pains sometimes have him teary eyed. He is not a complainer either, that what worries me. What should we be checking? thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Please get a chest X-ray done. It is also possible that all the medication can cause severe acidity. Consult a doctor and give him antacids and probiotics. Give him small meals more frequently to combat the acid. Possibility of recurrence of pneumonia or there being asthma, allergic bronchitis or even cystic fibrosis should be looked into.
The best thing would be to consult a pediatrician and try and assess what is the cause of his problem. Take care!

no he is still congested. actually he has a cold with a  runny nose for about 4 or 5 days. I hope this will get the sinus cleared up. No chest x-ray.  When he was in hospital with pneumonia he had five x-rays done then.
Thanks

Is the congestion gone?  Pneumonia can give you stomach pain, back ache and headaches.  Have they done a chest x-ray?
