Yesterday I was able to get a call returned from his aide and she explained he had done a caudal injection this time which should benefit the right side better than the previous injection did. I had a pain free 36 hours but when the steroid headache left, so did the pain free condition. Today I am back to where I was before the last injection.....hoping time will be the key.
Did you ask the doctor who did the injection? It is possible he or she made an error. It's your body and you are allowed to ask questions. It's not too late to call, especially if you are not getting pain relief like you did last time. Don't act all upset; just ask if you can speak to the doctor because you have questions about the injection and the location of the injection given this time. Then ask the doctor which side his notes say he made the injection on and which side his notes say your pain is on, to see if he made an error or had a reason for what he did. Docs do make mistakes sometimes, and it seems to me if he injected the wrong side, he should not bill you or your insurance co to correct his error.
