hives? Infection? Allergic reaction? With pictures (ignore previous post)

Hi, I have already been to the doctor a few days ago about this but there was no diagnosis, was just sent away with Eumovate cream. Not seeming to help much so far and I can't find anything particularly definitive online. The closest pictures seem to be contact dermatitis but that wouldn't explain why I have these itchy marks all over my body (though they are worst on my hands and head). I've also not come into contact with anything new that I can think of. Typically these will flare up from a small itchy dimple-like mark and grow over a day or 2, forming a white ring around a red itch patch. This is how they present on my hands anyway - they present differently on my head and most other areas, where the white rings aren't so obvious. The itching gets much worse if I so much as touch the affected areas. Any ideas?
