Left index finger swollen for 2 months- not injured

I'm a 26 year old female and a little over two months ago my finger would ache in the morning, fast foreword a week or two and it has been copmpleatly swollen and painful to bend or touch. It has been swollen and painful for about 2 months now, with no improvement. I didn't do anything to injur my finger. I know I need to see the Dr. but I am current uninsured. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello~You may have some misalignment of the small bones in your finger. I would see a chiropractor, he/she may be able to palpate your hand and finger and should be able to determine if this is the case. Until then, try soaking it in Epsom salts, this can help with the swelling.
