Loss of Taste and Burning Mouth

Over the last few months my mouth has been burning--it hurts to eat anything.  Mouth does not appear physically changed except deeper fissures in tongue.  Now, have loss of taste.  Initially I thought it might be from the "appliance" I now have to re-seat my TMJ but I've had that for six months and that dentist says it's really not possible since it is just acrylic.  I do have a vitamin B12 deficiency and I am taking a mere 500mcg supplement but the condition is actually getting worse.  Can it at all be thyroid-related?  I know Burning Mouth Syndrome is hard to diagnose but it is really, really annoying.  Oh, yes, also very dry mouth--very little saliva.

There is a condition called burning mouth syndrone. I had it. I had to find out what was causing it. After 3 long months og agony, cause it just came on suddenly, I come to find it is a certain medication I was taking and getting injected during my trigger point injections. For me, it was a med called marcaine. When I stopped having that injected ( for pain), the burning mouth went away. It happens for all reasons, but sugars could be yr culprit and it's in everything. try figuring it out, dont eat anything for a while with sugar and see if it goes away, or maybe it is in  a particular med yr taking. I wouldnot believe for me it was menopause or old age. lol Im only 59 but look 40 and i dont feel old. I was glad I found the culrpit cause it hasnt happend since.
