Mysterious bug under my skin, crawling on my scalp

This is my first post, I've been reading this forum for about a month now, reading about evetything from how to cure scabies to mites.

I'm 27 years old, live in Dallas Texas and here is my story...

First, we've always had a fly problem at every house we go to. You know, the little fruit fly looking things. However, we're not big fruit eaters and don't have any out. They seem to love the trash and the sink (different fly?).

Up to 6 months ago I felt like a bug was crawling on me when I sat on my couch and bed (different apartment), our first assumption was bed bugs and we treated the house (using bombs) for these, the crawling feeling slowed but never fully stopped.

We recently moved (2 months ago) and I felt the same thing on the couch and bed, even worse actually. So much so that we had to throw the couch out. The couch had a mattress in it, it ended up staying out back for a little while until one day I looked out there and it had little black bugs crawling all over it. During this time it seemed I ws being attacked at night by whatever this is, constant crawling all over my head. I usually stay up late to work (upwards of 5AM sometimes) and the entire time this crawling is going on. When I get in the bed it's even worse.

Now here we are at present day. Three days ago I started feeling like whatever this was is now in my skin (I'm certain of it), It's under the skin on my face, my scalp, my back, my toes, and my feet. I can feel it crawling in and out of my anus at times also.

Went to the dermatoligist today and of couse he says it's my imagination, some people get it. He's subscribed me some DEXEPIN for depression. :(  Funny thing is I'm not depressed, my life was quite good until this bug showed up.

I can feel them crawling under my skin, they hang out in my ear (not sure if under the skin or just in the canal) all day, it's gross. No one in the house (my wife and 3 kids) can feel them. My wife has bites all up and down her legs and even a protruded ring looking this on her forearm.

As you might have imagined I'm loosing my mind and life, nothing is the same. And now that the doctor says it's my imagination I cant even get my mom or wide (even though she has a lot of bites) to believe what I'm feeling is real. This makes everything 99.9% harder.

At first I thought it was bird mites (lots of trees around our apartment), then I thought scabies (becuase I can see tracks under my skin), and now I'm thinking it's some kind of fly. There are flys everwhere in this apartment. The disposal was broken when we moved in and it had  flies coming out, they are still around even today (and it's broken again). The bathroom has the flies, in fact, there are several dead in the tub.

I spray the tub down with bleach/water after getting out and noticed when I spray the faucet part some of it turns black (black mold?).

Could this be a bot fly? What do I need to do to get rid of it. Now that the dermatologist was no hope (second doc I've seen, first gave me Pemethrin which did not work) I was thinking of ordering some Stromectol / Ivermectin and Green Kleen Green online.

Recently I had jock itch for the first time in my life, had been taking Gris Peg (Griseofulvin) when this all started to intensify. Please if anyone has been through anything like this offer your sound advice.

This is why we have problem with doctors.

Formication is the medical term for a sensation that resembles that of insects crawling on (or under) the skin. It is one specific form of a set of sensations known as paresthesia, which also include the more common prickling, tingling sensation of "pins and needles". Formication is a well-documented symptom that has numerous possible causes.

The experience of formication may sometimes cause feelings of itchiness, tingling, pins and needles, burning, or even pain. When it is perceived as itchiness, it may trigger the scratch reflex and because of this, some people who are suffering from the sensation are at risk of causing skin damage through excessive scratching. More rarely, susceptible individuals who fixate on the sensation may develop delusional parasitosis, becoming convinced that this sensation is being caused by actual insects, despite repeated reassurances from physicians, pest control experts, and entomologists.

The term is derived from formica, the Latin word for ant.

We have had this bug infestation for over three years.  We got it from a Hotel in Dallas, Texas where I stayed for one week while my daughter was training to be a flight attendant.  Her room did not have the bugs and she did not bring them home like we did.  I can tell you that I have many products and I am sure that this bug is immune to everything.  I really believe that it is a manufactured bug that is being unleashed on America.  The permetherin cream stops them moving for a night. We found the concentrate and spray the beds and infested areas several times a week.  They, or their eggs seem to be a very small hard grain.  I have scratched them out of my hair or off my skin and put them in the trash.  We have moved two times and they moved with us. They go on vacation with us too.  I read just last night about a professional exterminator that uses dogs to find bedbugs and a special chemical to kill them. If I can afford this treatment I will let you know if it works.
My doctor smirks everytime I try to talk to her about it.

lights out, turn on cell phone LCD and face down. I waved a tennis racket shape bug zapper just below the light, giving it an inch of space, all this in complete darkness. I started to see lots of microscopic stuff, different shapes, being attracted by the light, and flying away from the zapper. Cell phone was FULL of stuff. I putted some clear tape to gather the samples and this happen. Dont know why, they occupy space. I coudnt press the tape flat!! The bigger bubbles have like 4 or 5 of them, like as if they were forming a field force. Bizarre.. Cant believe, the are SO MANY... http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd5/lobogamma/?action=view&current=lintbuginBB1.jpg http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd5/lobogamma/?action=view&current=lintbuginBB2.jpg

Hello...I am in Wisconsin so in the summer it gets VERY VERY HUMID but, these things do stay thru winter as well... We started with these last April and it was so bad, I actually just cringe thinking back to last summer...It was horrible! We have been working @ beating these things for an entire year now and @ times we are 100% better for up to a month and it comes back... I am missing the eggs (I'm guessing)??? The things I have tried, that have REALLY made a difference, are: Borax, salt, bleach baths (1 cup each except, seasalt that I dumped the whole container in) soak in tub and SCRUB as much and often as possible! I didn't use bleach everyday so, I alternated with powdered Arm&Hammer laundry detergent! Works great! If you cannot find just plain old box of baking soda(sodium bicarbonate). Things got much much better after, just a week or two of that routine! BUT, you living in the Carribbean (I wish! you are LUCKY!!!) If I were you, I would swim in the ocean everyday as much as possible! Whatever, these bugs are they do hate salt and that type of water has alot of salt already! Besides, if anything swimming in the ocean, there are so many different types of organisms in sea water that will eat these things...For example, in Wisconsin we have no oceans but, I have every single bug following us around! I have seen, centipedes eating these things, right off of my foot and slowly dying within 5 seconds! They say, there are very few bugs that CAN even harm a centipede!!! When this all started, I found every single bug in our home dead..we had alot of different kinds of bugs in my home (esp. due to mold/moisture). A year later,NOT EVEN 1 BUG(except, the TINY white flying idk moth looking bug?) A fly flew in the door the other day, so I decided to follow it, sure enough he landed and was eating?something?? within 5 seconds he was a goner...lol! The one thing, we all have in common, is moisture/fungus/mold and I started thinking, all the molds in foods and the products we are using on ourselves,in the hope that it will kill, whatever these lil' bast--ds...are? It popped into my head, that vinegar has ALOT of mold in it, so, my latest concoction, is Apple Cider Vinegar! I put as much as possible in baths, and just wiping our skin with it throughout the day...we get relief, within 5 minutes!?!? This has something to do with molds etc...and w/mold around, who knows how many different types of parasites eat mold (hell...there's even a mold mite)..that will and can attack humans! I reread your earlier posts, you said "black bugs that you could see and were moving" that to me, sounds like bird mites. We don't have birdmites but, I have seen them before, and most of them are tiny black and you can visibly see them moving around. Were they the size of say a pen dot? If so, then any Dermatogist should be able to help you with identification...they WILL NOT go away unless, you find the nest!!! You are actually better off moving...have you ever seen any mice/rats? In Carribbean, there usually is alot of tropical rat mites...that's my guess! Try these suggestions and let me know how it works...we are better again yet, every 3-4 weeks they come back again and I start up the bath soaks and vinegar and they are gone within maybe 4days...I wish, I could figure out HOW 2 KILL THE EGGS????? Best of luck!!!   Jen(ma)

Hi Jenma

Ive been dealing with this nightmare for about 2mnths now.  It gets controled and varies, but it comes back again.

If i get lazy, cleaning the house, (mop with clorox daily) , Vacum daily with HEPA filter, change bed stuff often, shower constantly (anti bacterial, medicated sulf. sopes) I feel them more intense, or more present.  Nobody else seems to feel them or notice them also, even do since this im limiting my visits or social activities.

I totally agree with u, that it has to do with MOLD/fungus/or a parasaite, and my posible  major factor of intensity or over population is HUMIDITY.
I have Huge Humidity problems in my apt.  I live in the carribean and humidity goes crazy here.  Also my building in my rented apt, floods when lots of rain comes.  I also have alot of visible insects like the silverfishs, furniture bettles, ect.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silverfish
These visible insects(silverfish) only appear@ night, and on places with 75% or higher humidity.
So if i have silverfishes in my apt, the humidity here is on its PEEK.
Some friend gave me for a week an Ozone generator (5,000 cubic feet), and Truly it was like MAGIC.
I gave it back, and in 2 days the problem reappear.
Im buying a humidifer to try to eliminate this posible factor or maybe buying the O3equipmnt.  it cost like $250 or the humidifier like $175-200.

Also to all of us suffering this nightmare:

Our minds are possible of anything in this life.  Of believing something, reafirming it, having optical ilusions, exagerate anything and much more.  In my case I truly believe there is something here that to some it may be nothing, but the rest care about it.
Ive notice when thing in general are going good, dont think about it, or maybe try to continue my life without letting this stuff bother u, & feel them the less.  Sometimes i get out of focus, depressed, lazy or anything else, and then i focus again on this.  Returning here.. to every post, every blog that talks about this(there are so many)
Waisting hours, days and week, curious of some remedy, or some sort of identification of this mistery.  I have tons of weird samples of spces that appear when the problems kick in. all microcopics... Put on clear tape, and ziplocks.
Thinking about buying a miscoscope for my self.

Ive heard doing a FULL detox, may eliminate this stuff, if its some sort of parasite living inside us.
Im trying the Lemonade, mapple syrub gradeB, cayenne peper detox, and its looking good.
I know all this may sound like Bull$hi†, but its a Health situation were are dealing, that nobody seems to have an answer.  I read hundreds of blogs, tried every $hit on testimonies...

Jen

sorry for my spelling.
Take care
Jerry
