Nausea and dizziness

My father has been feeling dizzy and nauseous for the past weeks or so. Recently it seems to have become more severe and he sometimes feels faint while walking and loses balance. Also, he feels nauseous right after eating all the time. He has consulted a doctor and was given medication for vertigo but they don't help.

My father is 68 years old and we suspect that this is due to him not eating enough as he weighs only 40kg. I would like to seek some advice on this matter, thank you.

He doesn't take any other medications, this last time he took a pill was probably 10 years ago.

The symptoms you mention could be signs for vertigo. However, often times vertigo is also just a symptom of something else. If the meds.does not help, perhaps it is time that you seek a second opinion.

have you looked into and medications he's taking? a lot of meds have those side effects and many taking together can cause those symptoms. just a thought cause we've been through this with my dad and his depression meds and heart pills ;)
