Try calling the hospital in that area, he might have had an association with them they could tell you where he is.

If you want to make sure and to prove your doctor wrong take the temperature test. For 3 to 4 days, take your temperature the same time in the morning. Get an average for those days. If it falls below the "normal" body temperature then you may have a thyroid problem. For example 96, 97 degrees. You can present this to your doctor and he can take some different tests. This is I feel one of the most accurate, blood work isnt always going to show a thyroid problem. And if your doc doesnt listen to the temps then go to a different doctor and get a second opinion.
