Should I get a second opinion?

For the past few months I haven't been feeling well. I have had multiple different infections (skin, eye, ear, strep, etc), about 7 in the past 12 months. This is very unusual for me. I also noticed a new lump on my neck, at the base of my skull (kind of in the middle) about 8 weeks ago. I have had a low grade fever that comes and goes throughout the day. It never goes higher than 100.4. The fever has been here about 3 weeks and it is making me very tired. I can barely stay awake through normal daily activities. I have had diarrhea for about 3 months, a productive cough for a few months. I am not feeling like myself, but my doctor says there is nothing to worry about. I had blood test for my thyroid and CBC which came back normal. Should I get a second opinion? Or does anyone know what is going on with me? My doc says it may be stress, not getting enough sleep or dehydration (which she ruled out). I am not stressed and I get PLENTY of rest. Please help!

Thank you for the suggestions. I have an appointment tomorrow morning so hopefully I can convince my doc to run more tests. I will try with these with the exception of the garlic. I am allergic to it. I have been taking emergenC and a multivitamin with the hopes that I can fight off whatever it is that I have.

If anyone can give me suggestions on what tests to ask her to run. I am very cyst prone ( I currently have 6, and had one surgically removed a couple of months ago because it became infected), and am pretty sure the lump in my neck is a cyst, but it is harder than the other ones and doesn't move around. Should I ask her to test it also? Oh, and I was on antibiotics for another infection when this all started. If it is bacterial, wouldn't that have helped it?

Thank you in advance for any more info.

Your immune system is being attacked and you are under stress from your body fighting infection (fungul and/or bacterial) it sounds like.  You might go and they do a few tests and nothing and so on for months - book a appointment and try this while waiting

In the meantime:
Clean water - purified water PUR pitcher & filter ($24)
Start taking powerful immune busters and free radical scavengers

Garlic (Allium sativum) is widely recognised as a culinary herb and a potent natural medicine. It is a natural antimicrobial and unlike most antibiotics, garlic does not destroy the body's normal flora. Garlic is a health-building herb, rich in potassium, zinc, vitamins A and C and selenium. It also contains sulfur, calcium, manganese, copper, vitamin B1 and iron.                                                                  Bottle at health food store $10.00
Olive Leaf Oil & Capsules                                                                                $10.00
Sun Chlorella                                                                                                 $ 13.00

Olive Leaf will help the infections especially if you get the Seagate spray (avail online Seagate labs $10.00 it kills bacteria like no other)liquid spray internal
Galic is a immune system booster and will help with energy & infection fighter
SunChlorella eats free radicals that your body if full of with infection

These three can make you feel good within 5 days, but you may not stop the cause of it all.  It could be a fungus infection, with the  diarrhea it makes me think fungus.  There is a expert on this topic usually on PBS called "Know the Cause - with Doug Kaufman". Google him and watch his video's.  This is very important - do not feed the infection if it is fungul and learning about how to do that can even help you loose weight,

If you take the above supplements and follow the Fungus diet - it could be solved quickly, if not you have the second opinion waiting...Good Luck young lady!

A second opinion never hurts. The lump is your bodies way of fighting infection. You probably need some stronger stuff to knock it out and you could look into eating things that have more antioxatins to boost your own imune system.
