Bad odor

I have had this problem for many years, I have told doctors my problem but always tell me that it is my teeth or foods that I eat or other things. No one has been able to help me. This problem has given me a lot of pain and loneliness. I have even thought of ending my life but I am too scared to really do it but it has come to my mind a lot of times. I no longer go out very much & only go to some family functions and only for a little while. Every time that I eat, no matter what kind of food, even cereal, I smell like that food & later smell like I released gas but I know that I did not fart. I always hear people around me say who farted. I try to change the subject and say I don't know but I know it is me. Even at work, people say things that hurt. I want to know if there is an opening to my stomach that makes me smell so bad. I feel that it is smells from my stomach.  I have thought about this but never researched if this is possible. I say this because I always smell different. One time, a lady said it smelled like a drunk person which I knew it was me and I don't even drink. I take daily showers, wear deodorant, brush my teeth, wear clean clothes everyday and am a clean person.  This has effected my life so badly.  Please help!

It could be that you have a metabolic disease or a disorder that prevents the normal  process of your body converting food to energy on a cellular level. It is usually genetic.

You body may be missing a certain enzyme that is necessary for a certain food group eg. meat, mushrooms, etc. When food is not digested properly it can remain in the gut area where it will become putrid....also very unhealthy too, the result is gas, fermentation and toxins which the body will try to get rid of through different portals in your body, such as your skin and it can also be carried on your breath.

You need to be tested to see if you are missing an enzyme(s) and which type is missing. There is enzyme therapy available for people with this problem. Whether it will totally eliminate your body odor problem I do not know and  it may also involve avoidance of certain foods too and drinking more water...filtered water. Different types of food require different enzymes.

Most of us have food preferences like eating  potatoes or bread or drinking lots of milk and usually we consume more of our favorites.....even craving them.     An example:      For some reason (and I don't know exactly why) our bodies will actually crave the very foods that we are allergic to ....like foods containing wheat. I am allergic to wheat or any plant from the grass family, I am unable to metabolize a certain protein they contain. It is very annoying to say the least when you keep having cravings for what you shouldn't be eating. My reaction is inflammation throughout my body.  This is not the same as what you have described therefore I do not think it is an allergy.

You might find it interesting, even enlightening, to keep a daily record for a few weeks of each and every food or drink that you consume each day. As each kind of food requires a certain enzyme it may reveal which enzyme(s) you are missing.

I would consider seeing a naturopath who is knowledgeable about this disorder if you do not get results from your doctor. I hope this info is of help to you.:)

Please don't give up mskt.

Hello,
Body odor occurs due to the smell of bacteria that grows on the body. Bacteria grow in their number when you sweat and cause body odor. Body odor of a person depends upon multiple factors like gender, genetics, health, diet, medication and many more. I suggest you to eat healthy food that contains loads of fiber, whole grains, wheat, soy products and green leafy veggies. Also ,drink plenty of water this will also help you to smell fresh and sweet.

Use an antibacterial soap or deodorant soap while bathing. Underarms tend to collect more sweat so removing the hair from that area can help prevent sweat rings.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
