Ugly bruise?

I woke up a week and three days ago, and noticed that there was a massive bruise on my calf.  The bruise was all kinds of different colors.  There was a hard lump in the middle of the bruise, and the middle of the bruise where the lump was a yellow color.  Around the lump was a circle that was a purple and black color.  Around the purple and black circle was a blue and brown color.  Over the next few days the blue color started spreading down my leg.  It has been over a week now, and the bruise isn't getting any better.  I do not think it is getting worse, but it isn't getting better.  It doesn't hurt unless somebody touches it or it bumps against something.  I would like it to get better though because I cannot wear skirts, dresses, shorts, etc. because the bruise looks so awful.  I have no idea how I ended up with that bruise.  I would think I would remember doing something to cause that, but I have no idea.  I normally bruise easily, but this seems different.  I didn't fall, run into anything, or hurt myself at all...it just appeared one day when I woke up.  What causes that, and how can it get better?

No, I'm not anemic.  I've had that checked out before because I thought I might possibly be anemic because of how easily I bruise.  It turned out I wasn't though.  This is such an ugly bruise, that I'm not sure if it's normal or not.

Are you anemic? I am anemic and bruise very badly from little things. I also see little metallic spots sometimes like 20 of them then it will go away.
