Yes. I suffer from anxiety, but have never had a panic attack.
I feel dizzy, confused, agitated, sick, have tight chest with chest pain, shallow breaths/hard to breath. It feels really horrible, but I've never had a panic attack as such....
Hope this helps.
Yep.I used to have chronic anxiety attacks and was agrophobic.I took an anxiety attack uptown once and had to run into the police station. For years I was on amitryptilene and ativan(lorazepam)The attacks stopped years ago but even to this day I can get palpitations and dizzy.Sometimes,if im outside,I feel as if the grounds moving and I get panicky incase I faint or lose control. But,I dont and after a wee while I calm down a bit.So absolutely, you can have slight panic without going into a full blown attack.Stuff they anxiety attacks....they are frightining things. It helps if you give up coffee.Hope this helps.
i too am suffering what you are and i dont even know what im axious or panicking about most the time, it just happens and only started happening 5 weeks ago. extremly fustrating and scary i must say.
I think a lot of panic attack symptoms may be due to temorary situational experiences that will pass. I would suggest you try other measures such as breathing exercises, or anything that calms your down without thinking of the problem. I know from experience and years of taking medication to solve my panic attacks that it was un-necesary and that I could control these symptoms myself. Yes, even hyperventalating and thinking you are feeling symptoms of a heart attack are scarry, but as long as a doctor verifies your symptoms are not serious you can control the intensity of a panic attack when you feel it coming on.
ALL PEOPLE SUFFER FROM PANIC ATTACKS DIFFERENTLY, THAT IS WHY THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT MEDS TO TREAT THEM. THE ATTACKS MAY BE MILD NOW,BUT MAY WORSEN AS YOU ARE UNDER MORE STRESS. TRY TO GET ENOUGH REST, AND WHEN YOU GET THIS FEELING TAKE DEEP BREATHS, IF IT CONTINUES SEE YOUR DR FOR MEDS. NO SENSE IN SUFFERRING
Yes. I've had an anxiety disorder most of my life (I'm 29) and can vouch for having those symptoms without having a full-blown attack. I currently take Lorazepam when I have an attack I cant control.
