It does sound like it could be an allergy. It could be a medication he's on, too, especially if it changed recently (or went to a generic or different generic) or he's on several and they are interacting. I know someone who had his niacin prescription interact with Claritan-D (after he switched from Walgreens to Walmart brand) and he got chest pains and a rash on his chest. He takes them at opposite times of the day now and that fixed it. The allergy test is a good idea. See if avoiding caffeine helps (just try to get more sleep). The numb hands could also be something like carpal tunnel (especially if he uses the computer a lot) or they could be falling asleep if leaned on or slept on or held up high too long. Hope some of this helps.
Hi, your symptoms can be related to excess of coffee intake. When there is a high caffeine in the body it may lead to profuse sweating, anxiety, restlessness, increased urination, increase blood pressure and heart rate, nausea, stomach ache, cold sweats, irritability etc. Hence, you need avoid coffee. Better to practice regular exercise with diet control.Hives seems to be independent of coffee intake and can be due to secondary to exposure to allergen and mediated by IgE antibodies. Stinging insects, Aeroallergens (uncommon), Foods and additives like Milk, egg, peanuts, nuts, soy, and wheat are the most common agents to cause generalized urticaria. This triggering factor should be identified and should be avoided. A skin allergy test can be useful. Treatment includes anti histaminic and glucocorticoids against prescription. I suggest you to consult a physician tomorrow. Take care and regards. Hope you are satisfied. Take care and regards.
