Sudden Ankle Pain

I’m a female senior and about a week or so I’ve suddenly been having pain on both ankles when I walk only, and more on the outer sides. I’m in very good general health although with osteoporosis. Ankles swell a little in the evenings toward the nights. No infection. I can still walk (but with pain). No stiffness. No tenderness. Only once I’ve had this same pain for a day or two and it disappeared. This time it’s been with me over a week and still going....Did anyone ever have something similar and if so what happened? Thanks ever so much for prompt responses.
