UNDIAGNOSED!

I'm 16 years old. For 4 years now I have had stomach problems. I wake up in the morning from nausea, not long after i get diarrhea, my whole pelvic area feels like its in knots, along with my abdomen. Most of the time i will retch for about 20 minutes throwing up white foam or stomach bile. Up until the middle of the day i feel really week, have no appetite, and cant eat without getting nauseous. Throughout the day i get horrible pains in my upper right quadrant. Underneath my right rib cage. my joints are always sore, and my right side of my back and shoulder, (parallel to my gallbladder), gets really sore with a hot stinging sensation. I have been to a GI doctor and had 2 upper endoscopy's, a flex sig, and a colon endoscopy. Nothing came back besides ulcers. I had a hyda scan done, and my gallbladder is functioning correctly. I also had an xray to check for malrotation, which was negative. I have been checked for celiac disease and crohns but nothing showed. I also have a low grade fever every day. Can someone please give me some direction as to what this could be?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The symptoms could be exacerbation of the GERD or gastric reflux.  It could also be hiatal hernia. Treatment is a combination of drugs to reduce the acid and lifestyle changes. You will need to take a combination of medications (under medical supervision) like a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole, lansoprazole or pantoprazole empty stomach in the morning and an antacid gel after meals for complete relief. Possibility of H pylori infection too should be looked into by a carbon urea breath test and a combination antibiotic tried. Many a times a persisting H pylori infection can be the cause behind acidity not responding to treatment.
Life style changes that will help include: Avoid heavy meals and eat frequent small meals. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, smoking, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Avoid lying down for least 2 hours after food. Maybe these tips will help you.
Log in what you eat, and symptoms as they appear. Maybe you suffer from some food intolerance, along with IBS.
Please discuss with a gastroenterologist. Take care!

Did you ever try just a simple hypermotility of your intestines? I've had the same thing, wake up nauseas (try eating a small carb snack before bed) and after I eat, I have diarrhea/semi-solid bowel movements minutes after. Lack of appetite, tired, etc. I went to the doctor and he said try an anti-diarrheal like Imodium and It Worked!!! Good luck.

I shockingly am in a similar situation. Doctors are still trying to figure out whats wrong with me as well, so they put me on these pills that are actually working. Next time you go to the doctor ask him about " irritable-bowel syndrome." apparently that's what they think I have..goodluck..
